The captain of BC.Game, the team that legendary Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev plays for, said that the squad was knocked out of IEM Kraków 2026 because they simply didn’t have enough time for proper preparation for the tournament.
Christopher “MUTiRiS” Fernandes said this in a post-match interview.
“At the moment it’s hard for us to be ready on all maps. Nerves also affect us, but we gave everything we had. We are a new team, so sometimes we made mistakes and that made the game harder. But for a new roster this is normal. We need to get to know each other better, talk through many things and just become stronger”
According to him, the team struggled to be fully prepared for the entire map pool, which led to this result. The captain noted that BC.Game were formed only recently, and there was almost no time to build synergy. It’s worth noting that s1mple made a similar statement earlier at the start of the tournament.
MUTiRiS also plans to discuss the situation with his teammates, and hopes that at the next events they will show a much better result. It’s also worth reminding that s1mple previously said the players need one or two months to reach proper form.
