Watson Explains Why Team Yandex Lost in the PARI Universe Grand Final

Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov believes that Team Yandex’s loss in the PARI Universe Grand Final against Team Spirit is due to the tournament’s online format.

The player made this statement on Twitch.

“It’s just really tough to play from home. When we played online last season, things just didn’t go well for us at all. I don’t know—maybe we’re slacking off in some areas, or maybe we’re just playing poorly. Ping is a factor, too. Online, four of us have ping over 70—ATF, Chira_Junior, me, and Malady. Here in Kazakhstan, the internet starts lagging after 9 p.m."

According to a statement by Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov, the team always performs worse in online tournaments because the players get lazy and show weaker gameplay when playing remotely. The player also believes that Team Yandex’s gameplay quality was affected by high ping, which causes lag.
