Virtus.pro finished the year with a profit

The Russian esports organization Virtus.pro announced on its official website that the club ended 2021 with a positive financial result.
In 2021, the eSports club Virtus.pro, which is one of the part of the ESforce Mail.ru holding, won $2,9 million in tournament prize money, retaining its position in the top 5 in the world in terms of total prize money with an indicator of $18,1 million.
The most money was brought by the Dota 2 team - $1,6 million. The 5th-6th place at The International 2021 is considered the best achievement. At TI10, they took home $1,400,600. The young guys repeated the success of VP's "gold roster".
The PUBG rosters also showed themselves, earning more than $645,000. And Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, which took 2nd place at IEM Katowice 2021 and reached playoffs at PGL Major Stockholm 2021. Total: $540k.
Despite the fact that most of the prize money, 80-90%, goes to the players, the stable sporting success and the fan base attract sponsors. Managers played their part as they decided to change course, minimized costs and replace high-paid veterans with promising young players.
Among other sources of income, Virtus.pro identified transfers. For example, it turned out that the Evil Geniuses club bought Egor «Nightfall» Grigorenko from VP for 125 thousand dollars.

CS:GO roster that replaced the Polish squad started living up to the expectations and is now one of the best teams in the world. PUBG team makes us proud as well, and this is just the beginning. Thanks to our sales department we have such a strong list of partners, and each of them is a leader in their respective area. We have a lot of things to be proud of this year, but 2022 will bring us even more victories!
