The
Team Spirit roster is forced to start the IEM Cologne Major 2026 CS2 tournament without a coach.
The esports organization announced this on Telegram.
“Preparation for the Major under the guidance of the new coaching staff went well, and the debut was supposed to take place in Cologne, but for now, neither Sergey nor Dmitry will be able to be with the team. S0tF1k, unfortunately, did not receive a Schengen visa, and Hally was urgently hospitalized today.
We hope he will get better soon and be able to join the roster during the tournament; in the meantime, both specialists will be working online."
According to the esports organization’s announcement, Dmitry “S0tF1k” Forostyanko does not have a Schengen visa, which is required to travel to Cologne, and Sergey “hally” Shavaev has experienced unexpected health issues, due to which
Team Spirit’s head coach was hospitalized.
As a reminder, Duncan “Thorin” Shields previously reflected on
Team Spirit’s results following Sergey “hally” Shavaev’s return to the head coaching position.
