Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov, streamer and former esports player, believes that this Dota 2 season might be the last for Alexey "Solo" Berezin due to emotional burnout. According to his predictions, if
9 Pandas do not qualify for The International 2024, it is unlikely that the pro player will find the strength to continue competing.
NS shared this opinion during a Twitch stream.
"Every season is the last for Lekha. He keeps coming back, but this year could truly be the last due to poor results and a tough season, I'm sure. The lack of results is a constant stress, constant dissatisfaction. Imagine losing five public matches in a row; it creates some negativity, and some people may even tilt or show aggression. It's not great, but it's understandable"
The former esports player compared the emotional strain of a pro player to losing several public matches in a row. He also pointed out that this Dota 2 season has been particularly challenging for the
9 Pandas captain, which can psychologically weigh on Solo.
"Now imagine this not in public matches but on the pro scene: you train, you stay at boot camps, you spend a lot of time and emotional and physical resources. You discuss games, argue, and then lose. If this continues for a long time, it's very tough. It's very hard on the psyche. Lekha is having a tough season, and if they don't make it to The International, I think it's not certain that he'll find the strength to do something similar next season"
According to NS, Solo might not find the strength for the next season if he misses this year's Dota 2 World Championship, though there is still a chance that he might decide on another run.
Recall that earlier Solo made a real sensation in the qualifiers for The International 2024, showing a high level of play.
