Artem "Fng" Barshak spoke out about burnout and the potential end of his career as a professional player. At the moment, he does not plan to leave the Dota 2 pro scene, but when he previously felt burned out, he simply took a temporary break.
The corresponding statement from the
Virtus.pro captain was made in an exclusive interview with the Dota2 publishing house, responding to a question from the editorial representative about the desire to retire and return to streaming.
"Such thoughts don't arise now - when they did, I took a break. Such thoughts don't arise or don't affect you as much if things are generally going well in your life. But with enough stress, it really weighs heavily on you. As long as I'm willing to dedicate as much time as the younger players - I'll keep playing. If that changes, then I won't see the point in continuing."
The esports player took a break from professional esports after leaving
CIS Rejects in May 2022. Artem "Fng" Barshak's career break lasted less than a year. Already in March 2023, the esports player joined
Virtus.pro, where he currently holds the position of captain and support.

Recall that earlier, renowned caster Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov identified the main problem of the current
Virtus.pro lineup following their defeat against
Natus Vincere.
