Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov believes that
Virtus.pro lacks stability, and in the grand final for a slot at DreamLeague Season 23, the team showed lackluster performance against
Natus Vincere on the second and third maps.
The corresponding statement was made by the renowned caster during his personal Twitch broadcast.
"
Virtus.pro absolutely lost the second and third maps without a fight. They played well in the first and fourth, but the fifth map was very close. They just couldn't pull through on the fifth map – I think it was more about the draft. It was tough there. VP lacks stability.
VP could have made it to the EPT top eight by points, but now there's no chance. Because that's it – they're not playing anywhere anymore."
Virtus.pro reached the grand final of the upper bracket qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 23 through the upper bracket. In the upper bracket final, the team sent
Natus Vincere to the lower bracket, but
Natus Vincere managed to secure a spot in the deciding match and take revenge. In the closed qualifiers semifinal for DreamLeague Season 23,
Natus Vincere were able to send
Team Spirit to the lower bracket, who have been experiencing a series of losses lately.

It's worth noting that
Virtus.pro took second place in the 1win Series Dota 2 Spring, securing a spot in the grand final against
Team Spirit.
