Valve Releases Update to Combat Cheating in CS2

Yesterday, September 8, Valve released a minor update for Counter-Strike 2 aimed at combating cheating.

The developers updated the game to version 1.41.8.0 (805). As part of the new update, Valve’s developers fixed an exploit that had previously been used by unscrupulous players to spoof their VAC ban status during matches. The update is approximately 18 MB in size.

As a reminder, a month and a half ago, CS2 players faced a massive wave of bans.
