Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk believes the hidden pool is only a fiction of players who start to lose often. The player is sure that on a high rating such a concept definitely does not exist.
The corresponding opinion pro-player shared in a personal Twitch broadcast.
“Generally no, not really. Hidden pool is a nonsense that people make up for themselves. My opinion. Sometimes it happens when you're in the wrong mood. Let's put it this way: on high-PTS 100% there is no hidden pool, below that I'm 99% sure there is no hidden pool. Sometimes people are not in the mood, they lose 2-3 games in a row, and they start to play badly themselves, get hooked on luzstreak and lose games because of it. You burn out, you start to tilt, because of that you start to lose regular games, because you're wrong and you burn out.”
The myth of the hidden pool is quite common among Dota 2 players. It is believed that the developers have provided an unspoken system, according to which weak and toxic players are put into a separate pool in matchmaking, playing only among themselves, which makes it much harder to play because of bad teammates. However, there is no official information about this, but there is a decency rating in the game, which does have a significant impact on the quality of games in matchmaking.
Recall that earlier Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk highlighted the category of players who know how to enjoy Dota 2.
