Players are urging Valve to bring back terrain skins in Dota 2 that haven't appeared in the game since 2022, as most of them were exclusive to The International Battle Passes.
A related thread is gaining traction on Reddit.
"I know that all the existing terrains were TI Battle Pass exclusives, and I understand why they can't be obtained now, but how is it that I've been playing this game for over 3 years and never had a chance to get a cool terrain? As far as I know, they weren't in the Battle Passes I participated in, and now that this system is gone, it seems like they may never make a return. It's a bummer because some of them look so much better than the default map"
Other users reminded that some terrains can still be purchased through Dota Plus, but they are asking Valve to start releasing new terrain skins again. Many players note that it significantly refreshes the gaming experience and allows them to customize the map to their preferences.
Others recall that the TI10 Battle Pass was one of the best in Dota 2's history and believe that the developers could return to the practice of releasing truly high-quality cosmetics for the game.
It's worth noting that earlier, it was reported that Valve might release not a Battle Pass this year, but a Compendium 2024 dedicated to The International 2024.
