In a rather shocking move, Valve has gone ahead and deleted one of its matchmaking regions, namely Taiwan. Here’s what you need to know about this scandal.
The notorious data miner, Dota Stepana, revealed this on Telegram channel.
The developers failed to explain their reasoning behind the recent decision. Several source claim there has been a noticeable dip in the player count for that region – however, that is pure conjecture.
Nonetheless, it is worth highlighting that the region has received ‘localization’ before the shutdown as the data miner has suggested.
Finally, Bogdan 'Iceberg' Vasilenko also stated that he would prefer if Dota 2 be sold.
