Bogdan "Iceberg" Vasylenko has expressed the concern that Valve may soon sell Dota 2 due to how uninterested in the game the developers seem to be, while he seems to think this purchase would help the community.
The player held this opinion during a recent Twitch broadcast.
"Valve ***** because they have Steam, which has a billion games. From each game, they get a percentage. They don’t care about CS and Dota or Deadlock. They just do all this for business. Dota 2 is a ***** piece of software. I really hope Valve sells the game. I really want Valve to sell what they are creating. It's not creating any value for them.”
As Iceberg suggested, as Steam Revenue amounts in the billions for Valve as a company, there is a lack of attention paid towards deadlock, CS2 and Dota 2 by them, thus selling Dota 2 to a more attentive company would be a viable solution in his opinion.
An acquisition would solve the insufficiencies previously held with matchmaking and updates - the player illustrated.
Previously, Dyrachyo would go on to mention how he previously notified Valve about his acquisition at
Tundra Esports.
