Valve may release a major Dota 2 update in the coming weeks: players have found hints

Valve may release a major update to Dota 2 in the next 2-4 weeks, as indirectly evidenced by the activity on the test server, which has not been observed since May 2025.

This discovery was shared by fans of the game on Reddit, publishing the corresponding screenshot.

There it is indicated that Staging-server first active since the end of spring, and this may indicate the developers' plans for a major update. It is noted that in the coming days the patch can not wait, because usually the testing process takes from 7 to 20 or even 30 days.

It is also noted that gameplay nuances are tested daily, about this very server is responsible for testing large letter patches. Nevertheless, Valve has not yet made official announcements.
