Gambler, a character from DotA Allstars, may appear in Dota 2 as Quartero.
This theory was shared by Reddit users.
"The long-forgotten DotA hero, Gambler, was removed from the game in 2005, and no one has mentioned him since.
In his dialogues, Quatermo hints that he is someone influential and important.
Gambler was originally removed because his abilities were mainly based on luck, and he also bet on the potential actions of other heroes.
Now he gives out free items. They seem cosmetic to us, but his lines suggest that they are powerful amulets.
I think that at the end of the event, he will become a playable character based on Gambler”
Users note the similarity between characters who love gambling and rely on luck and the actions of other heroes. It is worth remembering that Gambler, also known as Maverick, appeared in the first part of the game in 2005, but only lasted two months. The developers were unable to balance his abilities, and as a result,
Rubick was created based on his model.

Nevertheless, many believe that even the presence of a ready-made image, voice acting, and lore does not guarantee Gambler's appearance in Dota 2. Others pointed out that the release of Frog Bard is more likely, as dataminers have already found hints of him in the game files.
