All teams that have received a direct invitation to The International 2023 have been determined by the Dota Pro Circuit Rankings.

After the defeat of Quest Esports at Bali Major 2023, they no longer qualify for a direct invite to TI12 and will play regional qualifiers, which means that the last slot goes to BetBoom Team.
Additionally, the winners of the regional qualifiers will take part in The International 12:
- North America: August 17-21 (1 slot)
- Southeast Asia: August 17-21 (1 slot)
- China: August 22-26 (1 slot)
- Eastern Europe: August 22-26 (1 slot)
- South America: August 27-31 (2 slots)
- Western Europe: August 27-31 (2 slots)
The International 12 will take place in Seattle on October 12 to 29. 20 best Dota 2 teams based on the results of Dota Pro Circuit 2023 will participate at the main Dota 2 tournament.
