Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, manager of
Team Spirit, stated that he cannot raise the rating above 3000 MMR due to lack of time and inability to grind.
He revealed this during a stream on Twitch:
"I didn't have it in me to raise any peak MMR. I just wanted to get a 3k or 3.2k rating - Legend. I went up to it and that was it. I probably didn't have the desire or opportunity to grind to peak. I rarely play it. Now we're going to Riyadh Masters 2025, and you don't play on any LAN. That's a big problem. To raise your Dota ranking or keep your MMR above the conventional 2.5k, you need to play it"
The manager emphasized that he didn't have a goal to reach some high mark - it was enough for him to reach the “Legend”. After that, he lost motivation and opportunities to continue.
In addition, Korb3n explained that during major tournaments, such as the Riyadh Masters 2025, there is simply no time to play Dota 2.
