The Team Spirit manager revealed the real reason why Team Yandex was created

Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, manager of Team Spirit, said that Team Yandex was created for the sake of PR, and you should not expect results from the team on the pro scene of Dota 2.

He said this during a broadcast on Twitch.

"What can I think about Team Yandex? Obviously, it's more for PR. So to speak, to unite with the youth. Other than that, I don't think anything about her. There's just nothing to say about it. It's just a team, yes"

According to him, the creation of Team Yandex was a marketing move for the sake of brand popularization, and real results from the team can not be expected. Korb3n emphasized that he doesn't think much about Team Yandex, adding that it's just another team on the Dota 2 pro scene, which is unlikely to be a competitor for D1 squads.
