Ilya "Illidan" Pivtsayev, a streamer for Team Spirit, unexpectedly named Gaimin Gladiators, rather than his own team, as the top favorites for The International 2024, citing the current meta.

He shared this opinion in an interview with Esports.ru.

According to him, if Valve does not change the current meta before the Dota 2 World Championship, Gaimin Gladiators will be the top contenders for the tournament win. The streamer explained that the aura meta perfectly suits the champions of The International 2024. He noted that GG players will be able to outpace their opponents thanks to their team style.

However, it is unlikely that the World Championship will be played on the current patch, as many players expect an update with the 2024 Compendium and possibly a new hero, Ring Master, to be released shortly before the tournament begins.
