Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk decided to change his mind and went inactive from competitive Dota 2 while continuing to play the game because he had had enough of his teammates and bootcamps schedules.

Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, The manager of Team Spirit, explained this on a Twitch stream.

“Competitive Dota 2 is out of the question for him at the moment. Playing in pubs and being competitive are two worlds apart. Just picture yourself at home, making a cup of tea, and easily lugging yourself up to 16k MMR. There… Well, I won’t go further, we are discussing Illukha. On the other hand, these are boot camps where you stay with 5 or perhaps 6 other guys for the duration of the stay. Even in the case of these 6 guys, you shower with them. Is there a tangible difference? Well, not in one shower, there are 3 showers, but still, 2-3 people per shower”

Korb3n was responding to a fan who was questioning when Yatoro was able to take MMR with Yatoro being inactive. It was clarified by the manager that the champion does not participate in competitions but still enjoys the title without restrictions. Furthermore, he went on to emphasize that players mostly live together at boot camps which is probably another reason why Yatoro needed this time off.

Keep in mind, the other day Yatoro suggested Valve to introduce a new MMR reset in Dota 2.
