Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, the manager of Team Spirit, explained that the team decided not to participate in Elite League Season 2, which has a prize pool of $800,000, due to scheduling conflicts and the long flight to the tournament immediately after Riyadh Masters 2024.

He shared this in his Telegram channel.

"Many have asked why we chose the LAN in China over Elite League. Overall, the league's schedule required a flight to Peru right after Riyadh, and our management was sure that many teams would end up withdrawing. Additionally, we wanted to focus on scrimming with Chinese teams, as we already have scrims with European teams. Before Riyadh, the Chinese region had been performing well this season"

According to him, the management felt that the long flight did not fit well into the schedule after Riyadh Masters 2024. Furthermore, he emphasized that another reason was the opportunity to compete against teams from the Chinese region. He noted that local teams have shown excellent performance this season, so Team Spirit wants to train specifically with them.

Earlier, the Team Spirit manager expressed his thoughts on the team's performance at Riyadh Masters 2024.
