Johan "pieliedie" Astrom, the coach of
Talon Esports, stated that Eldjone "Akashi" Canonigo Andales had passport issues, which prevented him from attending the tournament. Due to this, they had to find a replacement in the middle of a 30-hour flight.
This information became known after an interview at the Elite League tournament.
"The team arrived at the airport, and there was an issue with Akashi's Filipino passport. The visa was not suitable for visiting the country at that time. We had to find a replacement during the 30-hour flight. We didn't have many options, and I'm glad our manager managed to find V-Tune"
The team emphasized that Alik "V-Tune" Vorobey is a temporary replacement for this tournament. Akashi will return as the carry player for the next competitions.

Interestingly, the sudden replacement did not affect the team's performance.
Talon Esports managed to win two series at the tournament.
