SVG revealed the real reason behind Team Spirit's unusual losses

Avery Silverman, a streamer and ex-esport player commonly known as SVG, has pointed out that Team Spirit started losing mainly because the team depends on Ilya Mulyarchuk, popularly known as Yatoro who has been struggling with the current Dota 2 meta.

This was during an interview SVG had on the Not for Broadcast.

“Also, I think this is not a good meta for them. This is a team that requires Yatoro to carry them. And this guy is sad due to his pool of heroes getting gutted. As such, they end up playing 4vs5 Dota games. He can play Chaos Knight and Alchemist but this team is really stubborn and slow in adapting”

SVG also believes that the two-time world champions realize the situation perfectly well but are unwilling to adjust their strategy to fit in with present-day meta by trying to develop their own game plan.

“And I think they want to be able to play however they want and don’t care about it. Are they losing? They won TI twice already; that’s enough. They have nothing more to prove anymore; could rather have fun picking their own meta than playing some aura Dota”

According to the esports player, Team Spirit is already among the best teams so they do not needto completely change their plan but instead stickto enjoyingthe game itself whatever waythey want.

Team Spirit once reacted directly about the current Dota 2 meta making an important clarification earlier on.
