Khaled "sQreen" El-Habbash believes that the cancellation of DPC seasons has benefited competitive Dota 2, as more interesting qualifiers have taken their place.
The analyst shared his reflections on this topic with subscribers on his personal Telegram channel.
"The latest qualifiers have ended, there are so many of them, Dota is alive and flourishing, as was destined after the cancellation of long and tedious DPC seasons."
The analyst also adds that within each regional qualifier, there is intense competition. As an example, sQreen mentions situations from the DreamLeague Season 23 qualifiers, where he found it interesting to observe events such as
Natus Vincere's victory over
Team Spirit and the intense rivalry between
Tundra Esports and
Team Liquid in the Western European region.
Recall that earlier,
Team Spirit's carry, Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk, expressed his opinion on the cancellation of DPC seasons. The esports player believes that such a decision has negatively impacted the current state of the Dota 2 pro scene.
