Alexey "ShiiShak" Ustinov, who played for
Team Secret, admitted that he joined the team by chance. In a public match, he was noticed by Clement "Puppey" Ivanov, who offered him a position as the 4th player.
The interview was held on Dota2.ru and it is where this esports player made this revelation.
“At May 22nd I reached 12,000 MMR and it happened so that I got into a public game with Puppey. We had met before somewhere about here and there. Apparently he noticed me, added me as a friend and sent me an invitation for scrims together. That’s all that happened”
The player confessed that despite playing Dota 2 for such a long time, he never imagined joining the pro scene so abruptly. Initially, he was scared but their captain managed to calm him down before they went on stage.
“I must confess that I was really shocked; it didn’t even cross my mind at all. I just played pub games, did rather well there but… Honestly speaking, at first I was just shocked about it. Later when myself started playing with them guys everything changed though. Everything is fine now after some acclimatization”
It should be noted that one of the strongest players Alexey encountered during matchmaking was Anton "Dyrachyo" Shkredov who has also tried to become a streamer of Dota 2 and played pub games with various popular esportsmen.
To add more information earlier two members of
Team Secret were banned because they were found guilty in match fixing during tournament matches.
