Two players from Team Secret have been banned for involvement in match-fixing

Riot Games has banned 29 esports players who participated in the League of Legends tournament - VCS Spring 2024. Among them were two players from
Team Secret: Hoàng "Eddie" Công Nghĩa and Quách "Qiang" Khánh Hoàng.

In this respect, it is important to note that there were 32 participants in this tournament and almost all of them suffered from some kind of penalties. Nevertheless, the duration of these bans varies from player to player. For instance, Eddie got an eight-month ban while Qiang faced a twenty-nine months long suspension following a probe. The Rainbow Warriors team was given a life ban and barred from future competitions related to Riot Games.
Moreover, it should be mentioned here that on January 20, 2024, the VCS Spring event for 2024 which consisted of predetermined battles commenced through March mid. $73 thousand worth of prize money was presented in this competition with one slot for Mid-Season Invitational 2024 being issued too. However, findings of this investigation only came up recently thereby leading to later punishments.
