Insider: the prize pool for Riyadh Masters 2024 has been revealed, shocking the Dota 2 community.

The total prize purse for the 2024 Riyadh Masters will amount to $10 million – lowered by $5 million from last year’s figure – this bewildered users of Dota 2.

The corresponding information appeared in the Reddit community, which refers to an insider.

The most interesting part is that winners will not get a chunk of it. The prize pool will be split between main event and qualifiers; meaning that in each category there would be $5 million set aside for the teams respectively.

As per now, no one knows how this money is going to be shared among the teams however most possibly champions of Riyadh Masters 2024 shall take about thirty percent (30%) of all monies involved thereby limiting them to not more than three million to three and a half million dollars ($3-3.5m) as winning prizes.

This came as a shock for everyone as last year’s prize pool was just 15 million dollars for Riyadh Masters. Additionally, earlier rumors suggested that this year there might be a record-breaking disbursement up towards fifty million USD, therefore Dota 2 community was very surprised by such news.

However, there has been no official announcement of the prize pool yet, and the organizers have not commented on this information.

It should be noted that an announcement had been made before that there would not be any records broken in terms of rewards given out to Dota 2 squads at Riyadh Masters 2024. This competition runs under Esports World Cup this time around.
