The whole world will have to see for themselves that the record-breaking price pool of Riyadh Masters 2024, which is part of the Esports World Cup and is not going to be realized, but only a share of about $60 million would go to Dota 2 esports players.
The organizers tweeted on their official account about the anticipated prize sums for participants preparing for this year’s main esports event.
It will exceed $60M in total. Part of them, around 33 M$ would be spent on organization of tournaments among teams playing in 19 spheres including Dota 2.

Twenty million dollars will be given as a bonus to the sixteen best esports teams at the Esports World Cup. Apart from that, there are also qualifiers with prizes worth $7.6m. The sum of $1.1m may be due to top performers taking parts in competitions at the Esports World Cup.
According to this, Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov, who has been a streamer and a former professional player in his own right, says that it is not possible as up to 50 disciplines having shared this amount across them means Dota 2 clubs probably should expect approximately only five million dollars just like last time when it was around fifteen.
“Prize pools for Esports World Cup… Well, no $50m for DotA (there were such rumors). However judging by everything else anywhere you look – again these same fifteen”
Yet even if DotA gets more than any other among nineteen spheres it will still unlikely result into higher prizes rather than twenty or thirty million dollars. It might even go lower than that though.
Please note that one of the largest-ever DotA tournaments Riyadh Masters 2024 under those circumstances will become part of an event called “Esports World Cup”. In summer 2024 Saudi Arabia’s capital city will host its equivalent of FIFA World Cup tournament.
