RED Canids Announces Roster Disbandment for CS2 Following IEM Rio 2026

The esports organization RED Canids announced that all players on the Counter-Strike 2 roster have been benched.
The announcement was made on X.
“We would like to announce that the current Counter-Strike 2 roster and coaching staff have been moved to the bench and placed on the transfer list. We thank the players and coach for the past few months!
Information regarding the team’s future plans will be announced shortly.”
RED Canids’ most recent tournament was IEM Rio 2026, where the team finished in the top 12. The roster failed to qualify for the IEM Cologne Major 2026, which may have been the reason for the disbandment. At this time, it is unknown with which roster the esports organization will continue its presence on the CS2 pro scene, but judging by the announcement, the club is working on forming a new roster.
