ENCE announced that they are disbanding their current CS2 roster, but will sign a new lineup with young players from Finland.
The official announcement was published on the club’s page in X.
“Organizations like ours are finding it more and more difficult to reach the top level of CS in the modern esports ecosystem. Instead of continuing to slowly slide down, we decided to reboot and build something new for the long term.
We are refocusing ENCE back home in Finland. Our goal is simple: build a CS roster with Finnish talents at its core and help develop our future stars. This is a new era for ENCE.
Because of this decision, we have moved the current roster and coaching staff to the bench. They are now available for transfer offers. We will share more details about our next steps in the near future”
It is noted that due to unsatisfactory results on the CS2 pro scene, the organization decided to start a rebuild. The old roster will be disbanded, and instead young Finnish talents will be signed.
So far it has not been announced who will be part of the new lineup, but the organization has an academy team called ENCE Academy, from where some of the young players might be promoted. When the new ENCE roster will be announced, or make its debut, is still unknown.
It is also worth reminding that ENCE earned about $155 thousand in prize money in 2025, however in 2026 their tournament earnings dropped sharply — so far the team has received only around $2 thousand.
It is also important to note that the team has not played at any Counter-Strike 2 Majors since 2024. Their last tournament of this level was PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 where the team had a very poor result, finishing in the second-to-last place.
