Quinn Callahan believes the removal of aspects in Patch 7.41 for Dota 2 is a good sign, as it indicates that Valve is actively working on updating the game.
The esports player shared this opinion on YouTube.
“I really liked that they removed the aspects. It speaks to Valve’s determination, because they clearly put a lot of effort and time into it. And the fact that they were willing to walk away from that decision and admit that it was a mistake in the long run, or that they no longer needed it, and just throw it all away—that shows they still care and are putting in the effort. If Valve were just coasting along, they wouldn’t have removed the aspects. They would have kept making changes and adjustments.
For me, this was a major shift that shows they still care. Honestly, this is my favorite part of the patch.”
According to Quinn Callahan, the fact that the developers acknowledged adding aspects to Dota 2 was a mistake and reversed that decision indicates how seriously they take updating the Dota 2 meta. The esports player believes that Valve would not have removed the aspects if they took their work on the game less seriously. Moreover, Quinn called the removal of aspects the best part of the latest global patch 7.41 for Dota 2.
As a reminder, Quinn “Quinn” Callahan previously explained why Dota 2 is not popular among players in North America.
