The next major update for Dota 2 and the launch of the Crownfall event could be released between March 11 and April 22, during the break between major tournaments on the pro scene.

This opinion was shared by Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov, a streamer and former esports player, on his Telegram page, commenting on the release of Patch 7.35c.

"If someone was expecting a major patch and/or event, etc., I'll remind you that the current 'event' with chests and dragons will last until around March 7, and DreamLeague Season 22 will end exactly on March 10. It's not a coincidence; after both of these events conclude, there will be a lull in Dota tournaments for about a month (maybe even more), and nothing significant is planned from March 11 to April 22"

He explained that the tournament break is ideal for the launch of a major update, attracting players and esports professionals to participate in festive events.

"The perfect timing to drop something significant there. I don't think it will be an extensive gameplay update (honestly, I think we won't see a real global gameplay update this year at all), but it's almost certain to be that event, Crown Fall, dedicated to Skywrath, Venge, and possibly Ring Master. In general, don't get too worked up about Dota now, give it a little time, Gabe has everything under control"

During this time, the new hero Ring Master, announced at The International 2023, might also be released. Considering that there will be almost a month until the next major tournament after the conclusion of DreamLeague Season 22, pro players will have time to try out the new hero and adapt to the updated meta after the major update.

It's worth noting that Valve has previously released the new Patch 7.35 c for Dota 2, which made adjustments to hero stats, items, and updated Dragon's Gift cosmetic items.
