Alexander "Nix" Levin, a streamer and former professional esports player, has revealed for the first time that he left the professional scene due to burnout and the inability to assemble an ambitious team. Additionally, he complained about being betrayed by teammates.
He made this confession during a Twitch stream.
"I no longer believed it was possible to build a team that I could win with. I put in a lot of effort in every team, but others barely did anything. I couldn't find people who were as ambitious as I was. That's why I burned out, working for others and gave up on it. Since I couldn't play solo matchmaking and wanted to play with someone but didn't have anyone to play with. Or rather, I had people to play with, but I didn't want to play with them. So that's why I left. I moved on to something where the outcome depends solely on me, not on some guy who might drink for a week before a match and ruin it"
According to Nix, he invested heavily in the team's performance but couldn't say the same about his teammates. Moreover, he hinted that some players might have been literally ruining official matches and not preparing properly. Ultimately, he burned out and decided to leave the Dota 2 professional scene because he couldn't build a sufficiently effective team.
It's worth noting that earlier, Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov revealed Nix's true MMR rating, indicating that the streamer is actually at a higher level.
