Alexander "Nix" Levin, streamer and former esports player, has called the Compendium 2024 a slap in the face to players. He described the rewards as awful and said that people simply won't buy it.

He shared his thoughts during a Twitch stream.

"They released the same ****, ******... Everyone's ***** about your hero statues and screens. What a ****, it's awful, such a slap in the face. Disgusting. It's a disaster. I'm sure someone will buy it. And I'm a well-off person, I can buy it. But it's ******, and you need to understand that. This is not a Compendium, it's complete ******"

Nix couldn't hold back his frustration and admitted that the new Compendium disgusts him. He believes it lacks the rewards players were hoping for, and he's uncertain whether the battle pass equivalent will even sell, given that it includes loading screens and voice lines instead of hero arcanas.

"What am I going to get for this? Am I going to get an arcana or some rare set? People used to buy Compendiums because they got cool prizes. If you played a lot, you could reach level 200 and get a bunch of items. And now I get a loading screen?"

The streamer expressed strong negativity towards Valve's decision to remove arcanas and hero skins from the Compendium, focusing instead on the esports aspect.

It's worth noting that Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev has also criticized Compendium 2024, stating that Valve should have not released a battle pass equivalent at all if the quality was going to be this low.
