Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov admitted that on the first day of the group stage at the 2026 Esports World Cup, he didn’t pick the best heroes for the match against
MOUZ.
The coach and former captain of
Team Spirit made this statement on YouTube.
“On the first day of the group stage, I messed up a bit. I didn’t manage to get into the groove properly. I had a general idea of which heroes we wanted to pick, but I didn’t know what Mouz would pick. I just couldn’t seem to get the draft right.
The first day didn’t go particularly well, but then we started to pick up steam. I can’t say that the draft ever went perfectly, because different teams have different playstyles. I myself didn’t fully understand the strength of certain heroes either.”
According to Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov, the
Team Spirit coach is most dissatisfied with his drafts on the first day of the EWC, but believes that the team began to find its form afterward, even though the drafts in subsequent matches weren’t always ideal due to differences in gameplay among various opponents.
As a reminder, Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov previously summarized
Team Spirit’s performance at the Esports World Cup 2026.
