In a recent interview, Denis "Larl" Sigitov, a
Team Spirit midlaner thinks that it was possible for him to get replaced with Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov at the midlane position, as he was asked to participate in the position quite actively in public games.
He spoke on the points in the interview with eScoreNews.
“Overall, I didn’t know much. I had no information about whether he wanted to play mid or not. What I know is that he was asked to play mid just in case so it was more of me being the one who is being asked: ‘Do I want to play Dota 2? Do I want to take a break?’ They probably just considered the possibility of this happening. But I said I was ready and wanted to play. I took two weeks off before the New Years, and that was enough”
In his perspective, the organization kept this as a strategy in case Larl decides to take a break and planned on using Satanic as a test replacement when Yatoro returns. But Larl decided against taking a long break and took two weeks off so the replacement idea was not required.
It was prompted during the interview that it was not above Satanic to replace Larl, indeed it was the former that had been asked to play mid more actively. The player explained that he did not hate the organization since a restructuring of the roster is something commonplace, and he knows it very well.
"It is possible that it was, at the least, a bit uneasy because we had not establish anything before. In any case, blanking out is not an option, and I would have felt ****. I’m fine with it because this is esports. In traditional sports, just like this if you do not perform to the level required, replacements happen. Everybody agrees to this, I’m fine with that.”
Regardless, Larl did admit that it was a bit astonishing considering he wasn’t sure what he was going to do next. Nevertheless, he did comment that he may depart
Team Spirit during this season but put forward one particular reason for it.
