Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko believes that players who give up after setbacks don’t deserve to make it to the grand finals of tournaments like The International 2026.
The player shared this opinion on YouTube.
“Well, it’s a sport. People who fall apart over something like this probably just don’t deserve a spot in such grand finals or in future tournaments. Big wins and big losses are just part of sports—that’s all. That’s how you have to look at it. Life doesn’t end with a loss in The International final.
I guess we need to listen more closely and stay calmer even in moments like this. And listen to Puppey’s advice, if we’re talking about our team. Because he really knows his stuff, and we’ve somehow lost sight of the fact that we need to listen to him 100% in that grand final.”
According to Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko, an esports player’s career is always marked by periods of success and setbacks. Nevertheles, defeats shouldn’t be viewed as something irreparable. The player believes that at TI15, his team should have listened more closely to their coach’s advice, but that it’s important to stay calm in the face of defeat.
As a reminder, Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko previously acknowledged that it is Clement “Puppey” Ivanov who is responsible for key decisions at
PARIVISION.
