Denis «Larl» Sigitov gave an interview for the Virtus.pro Youtube channel, in which he told about the benefits of regional leagues and the defeat against Hellraisers in ESL One CIS Online Season 1: Lower Division.
Denis believes that the regional leagues were divided into 2 divisions, has a positive effect on tier 2-3 teams.
In general, it is very good that the divisions were divided into Upper and Lower, because the tier-2 and tier-3 teams are not very competitive with the tier-1. Basically, it's just always takeaway and so on. And so people calmly play open quals: they just collected a stack, played open quals - they can go through and show themselves. And to play against the same teams. Plus or minus peer players, not tier-1.
In the end, Sigitov shared his opinion about the HellRaisers team and spoke about the defeat.
HellRaisers consists of famous players, Resolut1on and plus or minus lil me alone. The rest did not really achieve anything. And as a team they are new plus or minus, and there was no tension against them. So I think that they deservedly play in the Lower division, and not in the Upper.
If you look at it from the side of the spectator, the game was really very intense, but if you look at it from the side of high-skill players, then this game was very bad: from us and from HellRaisers. They essentially gave us the edge every time. We lined up well at the beginning, then the midgame went very badly for us, and then some random fights were going on: they pressed the buttons badly, somewhere we pressed the buttons well. The game floated back and forth more. And that's all, in principle. There are a lot of mistakes. There is more from us than from HellRaisers, that's all.
