Danil “Gpk” Skutin said he started playing Dota 2 when he was just 12 years old, but took a six-month break between the ages of 17 and 18.
The player shared this on YouTube.
“I’ve been playing Dota 2 since I was 12. I quit Dota for half a year when I was 17 or 18. We were playing as a team, things weren’t going well, and I thought it just wasn’t working out at all, so I needed to chill. I just chilled and played another game—PUBG.
I played nonstop for days on end and even ran into Papich. Then I came back—and everything got better.”
According to Danil “Gpk” Skutin, the esports team was performing extremely poorly at the time, which is why he decided to take a break from Dota 2 and started playing PUBG, where he often ran into Papich in matches. The player noted that he put a lot of effort into improving his PUBG skills, but later returned to Dota 2, after which his results improved.
As a reminder, Danil “Gpk” Skutin previously recalled how he wanted to change his role on
BetBoom Team, but his teammates were against it.
