Former professional player and streamer Vladislav Petushara Kozlovsky, on his live broadcast told about the biggest mistake of players in Dota 2. According to Petushara, a lot of matches are lost because of early entry to the opponent's highground when they are all alive.
The first rule of Dota in the current patch is — never go to the highground when the enemies have five living heroes. Do a pick off, then go to the highground. When the enemies are five alive never go, because games are always lost on that. When you go to the highground against five living heroes lose the fight and give the enemy a chances for a comeback somewhere around 85%, no less. Find the pick off first, then go destroy structures. In current Dota, you are not allowed to go to the highground when the enemy has five living heroes.
