Dataminer has discovered that Valve has no plans to recycle hero models, as previously claimed by insiders, and this is actually a fake, because unused models have been hanging in the code of the game for years.
Such information was shared by the Telegram channel Dota Stepan.
“The future Queen of Pain remodel is actually just a prototype of the base QoP model with Arcana on. It was added to the game five years ago at the same time as the Arcana itself was released, obviously by mistake. Same situation with the future Arcana for Lion - the “new” files actually appeared in 2018, since his prestige Immortal arm is sometimes labeled as Arcana in the code. Simply put, it's all fake”
Dataminer noted that the supposed “new”
Queen of Pain and
Lion hero models are actually 5 and 8 years old, respectively. He explained that due to the peculiarities of Dota 2's code, many users thought that Valve would do a redesign of all the models and release a harness on Lion.
However, it is noted that in fact these are all fakes, which appeared due to misinterpreted data in the code of the game.
Recall that earlier the insider revealed the possible release date of the new patch for Dota 2.
