Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov predicted a possible release date for the Crownfall global update to Dota 2, suggesting that Valve might release it on March 8th.
The statement was made during the former esports player's Twitch stream.
"We're waiting for the update. Dota update, event, and arcanas — about ten days left. I think the patch will be released during the break between the second group stage and the playoffs at DreamLeague. This could happen. Firstly, the day is very lucky — the break will coincide with March 8th. It's International Women's Day. True, it's unlikely that this event can be somehow related to that, but still. Either the patch will be released after DreamLeague"
NS believes that this date is perfect because it falls on a day with a tournament break, and it provides an opportunity to promote the update.
"Even if no one promotes the arcanas by playing these heroes, commentators will just discuss the patch non-stop. It would be a good marketing move"
Although there have been no official statements from Valve, March 8th is expected to mark the end of the Dragon's Gift event, making it plausible that Dota 2 developers might release the update on that day.
Together with the update in the game may appear a new hero Ring Master, which presumably will specialize in controlling the enemy. It is possible that he will even be able to take control of enemy heroes.
Recall that earlier dataminers revealed details about the new Dota 2 update, Crownfall, uncovering who might be one of the bosses in the new in-game event.
