The developers of Counter-Strike 2 have released a 123 MB update, the main change in which is a new system for tracking actions involving hostages. It allows the game to record when a hostage is picked up, who is carrying them, and when they are rescued or killed. Previously, implementing this kind of tracking was more difficult.
List of Changes:
Updated the hostage handling system. Scripts now allow tracking of all major hostage actions: picking up, carrying, rescuing, and killing.
Simplified warm-up management. Map creators now have a separate section for configuring team scores, the round timer, and money distribution.
Expanded capabilities for working with console commands. Map scripts can now directly read and modify server settings.
Added new checks for the user interface. These changes expand the capabilities for working with custom UI.
Improved resource loading control. Scripts can now check whether the server or client has loaded the necessary files before displaying the corresponding elements on the screen. This will help avoid lag caused by resource loading.
The update also expands the capabilities of custom map creators by simplifying the configuration of game mechanics, user interfaces, and server settings.
