Tundra Esports admitted that they couldn't counter the aggressive playstyle of
Team Liquid and
Team Falcons, which became the reason for their crushing defeat and elimination from ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.
This acknowledgment was made by David Tan Bun "MoonMeander" Yang, the coach of
Tundra Esports, during a commentary published on the team's YouTube channel.
"We played against Team Liquid, losing 0-2, and against Team Falcons with a similar result. It seems that we are struggling against teams from the Europe and MENA region, which excel in aggressive play. Against teams from China and Russia, we have better control of the game, so it's easier for us"
It's worth noting that such a candid admission of a weak point in the roster may have a negative impact on
Tundra Esports future matches, giving opponents an advantage.
Recall that earlier Dyrachyo hinted at the possible disbandment of
Tundra Esports if they fail to show satisfactory results in upcoming tournaments.
