Chopper Has Officially Left Team Spirit

Leonid “Chopper” Vishnyakov has officially left the esports organization Team Spirit.

The announcement was made on Telegram.

“Dear Lenya, thank you for everything! Over the past seven years, we’ve shared hundreds of memorable moments and victories that will forever remain a part of Spirit. As captain, you led us to become world champions, won Cologne, Katowice, and many other trophies, etching Spirit’s name in gold in the history of competitive CS.

Much of what Spirit stands for today was built under your leadership and together with you. Thank you for the journey we’ve taken together—you will always be our legend.”

Leonid “Chopper” Vishnyakov had been playing for Team Spirit’s CS2 roster since March 2019. In mid-December of last year, he was moved to the bench. Together with the team, he won the Shanghai Major, IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, and a number of other major tournaments.

As a reminder, Leonid “Chopper” Vishnyakov previously announced that he no longer plans to return to professional CS2.
