Akofocus, CEO of BC.Game, said that Astralis players didn’t refuse to play with Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev, and the clubs just couldn’t agree on the price.
He talked about it during a stream on Twitch.
“Astralis players didn’t want to play with s1mple? That’s complete nonsense. We talked with Astralis. We had discussions. We made an offer, they made a counter offer. We just couldn’t agree on money. It’s not about players, it’s about the org, if im not mistaken”
Akofocus said that rumors about players refusing to play with the CS2 legend are fake. According to him, negotiations really happened, but both sides couldn’t reach agreement on financial terms.
He also noted that the main issue was not the players, but the organization itself. Considering this, it’s possible that s1mple could have played with Astralis roster if the clubs agreed on the buyout price.
