Miroslav “zont1x” Plakhotya believes that
Team Spirit can safely be called the best team on the Counter-Strike 2 pro scene, considering the teams’ average results over the last 4–5 tournaments, but the esports player isn’t ready to make such statements from a long-term perspective.
The player shared this opinion in an interview with HLTV.
“As I’ve said before, I think the very concept of ‘the best team in the world’ is rather strange. For example, you could say that Vitality was the best team when they won five tournaments in a row—back then, it was obvious. In the current situation, yes, if you look at our results over the last 4–5 tournaments, you could say we’re the best team, because you can calculate the average finish we’ve achieved in these championships.
I think if we win the BLAST Open Fall 2026, you could say that right now, Spirit is the best team. After this tournament, we’ll have a month off, and then we’ll play in Katowice at the ESL Pro League. Will we still be considered the best team then? I don’t understand at all how the term ‘best team’ should be used. It’s completely useless.”
According to a statement by Miroslav “zont1x” Plakhoty, the esports player doesn’t like the term “best team” itself, since the situation on the pro scene is constantly changing. Although
Team Spirit is clearly dominating right now, Vitality was the favorite before that. Moreover, the player believes that every subsequent tournament could significantly change the situation.
As a reminder, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets previously explained what has had the greatest impact on
Team Spirit’s current preparations.
