Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk, the former carry of
Team Spirit, admitted he’s tired of his new nickname "Raddan" and tried to change it back, but now he’ll have to wait another year to do so.
The two-time world champion complained about the issue with name changes on his Telegram channel.
"Imagine I tried to change my nickname for a year, finally did it, and now I can’t change it back for another year"
The esports player expressed frustration with the name "Raddan" and wants to switch back to "Yatoro," but is facing limitations with Valve’s service. According to him, he’ll have to wait about a year again to return to his usual nickname.
It’s possible that he might reach out to Valve directly to resolve the issue, as Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko managed to change his name quickly despite updating it after Yatoro.
Recall that Jonas "SaberLight" Volek faced a similar problem and reached out directly to the Dota 2 developers.
