Saberlight made an unusual request to Valve after transitioning to Team Liquid

Jonas "SaberLight" Volek, the new offlaner for Team Liquid, asked Valve to allow him to revert to his old nickname instead of El Saberlighto, which he adopted a few months ago.
He posted his request to Valve on his X (Twitter) page.
"Please let me return to my old nickname. I no longer want to be El Saberlighto"
SaberLight admitted that he no longer wants to compete under his new nickname; however, he did not specify why he changed it to El Saberlighto in the first place. Nevertheless, after joining Team Liquid, the esports player decided to return to his original nickname.

It remains unclear whether he will be allowed to do so, but Yegor "Nightfall" Grigorenko, who changed his nickname to Saika, had no trouble reverting to his old nickname in Dota 2.
Recall that earlier Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov stated that Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk could return to Dota 2, but not with Team Spirit.
