Gleb “y0nd” Vazhnov was extremely dissatisfied with the release of patch 7.41b for Dota 2, as he believes that the developers at Valve are merely creating the apearance of hard work.
The content creator shared this opinion in a comment on Dota2.
"I think this is utter nonsense. Because, apart from Meepo, they haven’t really fixed the overpowered heroes. The bugs are still there, just as they were. Let me be specific about what I’m talking about. First, when Morphling with the Mars item just stands rooted to the spot until he presses something. Second, it seems like you can still use Roshan’s Banner on Meepo—it was in every public game, and you could just keep casting it endlessly.
To me, these changes are just incomprehensible nonsense. They could at least have nerfed the Consecrated Wraps item. Or rebalanced it. I haven’t really figured it out yet.
It seems to me that 90% of the patch is aimed at making it look like they’re doing something. I rarely say this, and I even like these “+1/-1” style patches because… well, at least they nerf something. Well, at least something… But here, I can’t even point out anything specific among the nerfed or untouched heroes.”
Acording to a statement by Gleb “y0nd” Vainov, the developers ignored the issue of most game bugs and also failed to nerf most of the overpowered heroes, with the exception of
Meepo. The content creator also noted that most of the changes are aimed at creating the appearance of active work, but he cannot point to a single significant change in the Dota 2 meta folowing the release of patch 7.41b.
As a reminder, Janne “Gorgc” Stefanowski previously called the release of Dota 2 patches during major tournaments inappropriate.
