Janne “Gorgc” Stefanowski believes that developers should not release updates for Dota 2 during tournaments.
The player shared this opinion in a coment for OFFSTAGE.
“They’re making improvements. But knowing what goes on behind the scenes and the complaints from players—I’m not sure it’s worth it. It’s better to release patches at least a few days before the tournament.”
The streamer acknowledges that the release of new updates has a positive impact on the entertainment value of events. However, according to Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski, players and tournament organizers react negatively to patches being released during major events, which is why he believes it’s beter to release updates a few days before they begin.
As a reminder, Edgar “9Class” Naltakyan previously comented on the 7.41b patch for Dota 2, naming a promising hero in the new meta.
